We are the hometown media of Frontenac, KS!
Based primarily on Facebook, Hello Frontenac began in 2017 as a way to keep the community connected. It has since grown into something much more, an example of what can happen when a town and the media work together for the betterment of the community.
Hello Frontenac is part modern town square, part curated community billboard, and part neighborhood telephone line strung together with tin cans, all while insisting on positivity and kindness.
Our mission is simple. To connect, inspire, and celebrate our community in a positive way. Operated by former journalist, Hello Frontenac has slowly grown into Frontenac’s homegrown public relations engine.
The bulk of what Hello Frontenac does isn’t original reporting, it’s amplification.
The page shares posts from local businesses, schools, artists, emergency services, and civic groups, helping their messages travel further and reach the people who need them. It boosts local events, celebrates students, supports first responders, mobilizes fundraisers, and has helped reunite dozens of lost pets with their families.
In addition to sharing the work of others, Hello Frontenac also creates its own. Owner Keesha Hervey, documents all four days of Frontenac Mining Days each year, covers other community events, and writes feature stories about the people who make this town what it is.
Through both amplification and original work, Hello Frontenac provides positive updates, event coverage, and community highlights, all with the goal of keeping Frontenac informed, connected, and engaged.
In March of 2026, Hervey announced she will be donating her entire archive, nearly a decade of documenting the town, to Heritage Hall Museum, helping preserve Frontenac’s story for future generations.
Whether you are a lifelong resident, a newcomer, or just passing through, Hello Frontenac exists to help you be part of the heart of this community.
Welcome to Hello Frontenac!
